SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings has issued a call for papers for its SSPC 2018 featuring Greencoat conference to be held January 15-18, 2018, in New Orleans. Presenter abstracts are due May 1 for consideration.
The technical program, SSPC says, will involve thought-provoking discussions and solutions to current challenges faced by coatings professionals, including traditional surface preparation, application, coating failures, health and safety and other coatings-related topics. SSPC has also enlisted a diverse group from the protective coatings industry to present a coatings course at NASCC: The Steel Conference (you can register at this link). The course will be held next Thursday, March 23, from 1:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in the Grand Hyatt, Texas Ballroom D, which is located adjacent to the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center. The session focuses on topics of value for conference attendees who design or work with structural steel and encounter protective coatings in the field or shop environment.
