There’s one month left to enter AISC’s 2019 Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel (IDEAS2) Awards competition! Architectural and engineering firms, structural steel companies, general contractors and owners—if you have a project worth recognizing, we want to see your ingenious work.
Whether it’s the accomplishment of the structure’s program; the expression of the architectural intent; the application of innovative design approaches to the structural system; or the utilization of productivity enhancing construction methods—your cutting-edge project will be put to the test by a group of judges. The group mirrors the players of a traditional project team with members from the structural steel design, fabrication and construction industries so your project will be objectively admired and reviewed.
This annual awards competition is the highest honor for building projects by the U.S. structural steel industry. Projects selected for recognition will be announced at the 2019 NASCC: The Steel Conference in St. Louis, April 3-5. Awards will be presented at the project sites in special presentations to which the project team and local dignitaries will be invited. Winning projects will also be featured in the May 2019 issue of MSC.
