Modjeski and Masters Opens Austin Office, Its First in Texas

Modjeski and Masters designed the Huey P. Long Bridge, a cantilever truss, in Jefferson Parish, La.

Bridge engineering firm, Modjeski and Masters, announced the opening of its newest office in Austin, Texas - its first office in the Lone Star State in the company's 125-year history.

This new office is Modjeski and Masters' 12th location nationwide and highlights the firm's continued growth as well as its dedication to growing in the region. The new office will be led by former Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Bridge Division retiree John Holt, PE, who will be responsible for managing operations in Texas and the surrounding region.

"The depth and breadth of John's work in Texas and with TxDOT uniquely positions our firm to have a direct and clear understanding of the state's transportation needs and how to best solve them," said Mike Britt, Modjeski and Masters' president and CEO. "The new Texas office is a tremendous opportunity to build on the existing professional relationships and create new ones to expand the firm into a very dynamic and diverse region of the country."
