AISC’s half-day seminar on the 15th Edition Steel Construction Manual and 2016 AISC Specification for Structural Steel Buildings (ANSI/AISC 360) is being offered across the U.S.! Attendees can receive 4 PDHs and be able to purchase the Manual for $125 (a $200 value).
The seminar covers important changes and clarifications that have been incorporated into the Manual and Specification. It will examine the Specification chapter by chapter and highlight changes since the 2010 version. Design examples will also be presented to demonstrate the changes in the Specification and how to apply useful design aides in the Manual.
Specifically, the seminar will highlight changes to:
- Treatment of compression members with slender elements
- Treatment of tees and double angles in bending
- Shear provisions for built-up I-shapes
- Bolted connection provisions
