New Night School Focuses on Curved Members and Facade Attachments

AISC’s newest Night School course begins June 18 with the first half of the course focusing on the structural behavior of curved members, examining both vertically and horizontally curved members and their connections. The second half of the course will provide guidance for supporting modern facade systems to the primary building structure, an important aspect of design and detailing that affects facade performance and overall project costs.

The speakers are Bo Doswell, principal, ARC International; Alex Zimmer, senior project manager, Simpson Gumpertz & Heger; and James Parker, senior principal; Simpson Gumpertz & Heger.  

The course will take place every Monday night spanning over eight weeks starting on June 18 and ending August 6. Attendees may receive 1.5 PDHs per webinar and up to 12 PDHs for the entire course.
