Throwback Thursday: Kim Olson Explains What Fabricators Wish You Knew About HSS

It's Throwback Thursday and we're throwing it back to the 2016 NASCC: The Steel Conference in Orlando. During this conference, Kim Olson of the Steel Tube Institute presented an insightful session called "What Your Fabricator Wishes You Knew About HSS."

Click here to watch the session recording as Olson discusses results from surveys and focus groups with fabricators on how to reduce the cost of Hollow Structural Section (HSS) connections. During this session, you’ll learn which details work and which don't, what to know about HSS in architecturally exposed structural steel applications, tolerances and how to detail for them, and relative costs of HSS fabrication.
