SEAA Convention and Trade Show Heads to Glendale, Ariz. April 2 to 5

The Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA) will hold its Convention and Trade Show April 2-5, 2024, in Glendale, Ariz. at The Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa. The event will feature several education sessions, networking opportunities, the George R. Pocock Memorial Golf Tournament, a pickleball tournament, and more.

“Attending and exhibiting at SEAA’s convention is an investment in time and money, but members tell us that participation makes it possible to meet people and learn about industry trends and products that will shape your company for the future,” said Kathy Epperson, SEAA events and digital content manager.

The convention’s education sessions are targeted toward steel construction and steel fabrication business owners and managers. Garrison Wynn, a Fortune 500 business leader, motivational speaker, and professional standup comedian, is scheduled to give the keynote address. His talk “Winning the Talent War” fuses comic timing and research with actionable ideas for keeping and attracting the people you need to succeed.

The education sessions also include discussions with SEAA Project of the Year, Safety Excellence, and Craft Training Excellence Award winners, giving members a chance to engage with and learn from each other. Other sessions will tackle technology, detailing standards, accounting, public relations, and litigation containment.

In addition, a much-anticipated session from Michelle Walker, current board member and founding chairman of the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention, will discuss why mental health and suicide prevention should be part of a best-in-class safety culture.
