Ledger
Mountain biking enthusiasts, here’s your dream commute to work--the world’s first bikeable office building!
Ledger, a steel-framed office structure in Bentonville, Ark., features six stories of ramps that take cyclists from the ground to the roof, a distance of 3/4 mile. The ramps provide direct access to all floors of the building, and the building’s interior features bike-friendly amenities like secure bike storage and e-bike charging stations.
After assembling this puzzle, visit aisc.org/ledger to get the scoop on the economical steel design that inspired the project team to abandon their original concrete proposal.
