MX3D Bridge

MX3D Bridge

When it was installed over an Amsterdam canal in July 2021, the 39-ft MX3D Bridge made history as the world's first 3D-printed bridge.

To bring this vision to life, Dutch robotic 3D metal printing software company MX3D developed Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) and engaged in years of testing to ensure the viability of 3D-printed steel structures. Looking for something a bit easier? Assemble a puzzle of these steel bridge-printing robots above!

At NASCC: The Steel Conference, you can get the scoop on the potentials and barriers for additive manufacturing--straight from MX3D CEO Gijs van der Velden, on Wednesday, March 20.
