A Marriage of Materials: Hybrid Steel and Mass Timber

This presentation will describe how an integrated project delivery (IPD) team designed and constructed a hybrid structure of steel framing with cross-laminated timber floors for a new six-story student residence hall in Providence, R.I. Through careful collaboration, the superstructure was erected in under three weeks.
