Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge

The new Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, located in Washington, D.C., replaced the original Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge constructed in 1950. It features hexagonal steel arch rib sections, three above-deck arches, four pedestrian overlooks, and two piers that seem to float in the Anacostia waterfront.
