Portageville Bridge Replacement

Portageville Bridge Replacement, Letchfield State Park, N.Y.

The first true arch bridge built for the rail industry since the 1940s replaced an iconic 1875 viaduct over the stunning Genessee River Gorge, known as the "Grand Canyon of the East."

The new bridge spans the Upper Falls, one of three waterfalls that draw more than a million visitors to the park each year annually.
