A New Approach to Design for Stability

The 2005 AISC Specification contains significant changes to the methods available for stability analysis and design of steel structures. The AISC Specification now includes three methods of analysis: the direct analysis method, the effective length method and the first-order analysis method. This seminar discusses the background to each of these methods, their application to design and the strengths and weaknesses of each design approach.

This course is based on a past NASCC session.

You must purchase and pass a quiz to receive a PDH certificate for this course.
