Analytical Modeling Techniques for Bridge Engineers [B8]

Analytical modeling technique is extremely important for steel bridge design and analysis. Various modeling techniques have been developed for different purposes and different limit states. Additionally, different software packages have different strengths and limitations when it comes to structural analysis, design, and code checking.

The advancement in analytical technique and in our ability to better understand the real structural response will significantly improve future engineering practice. This workshop-style session will pay more attention to engineering analytical modeling technique and will be extremely valuable to experienced engineers, young engineers, and software developers alike.
