Beyond the Rolling Schedule [T8]

"Are these sections available for my project?" "Where can I buy material that will support my LEED Goals?" "What is the minimum order for this section?" These are just some of the questions that often lead to the same response "I better check the rolling schedule" This session will explain the process of procuring structural steel material from mills and service centers, describe the key information that exchanged, describe how that information is exchanged, and illustrate how this transfer of information can support successful project delivery. Part 1 will describe the current state of the practice for steel procurement, Part 2 will explore future opportunities and the technologies, Part 3 will discuss BIM enabled procurement for IPD projects.
