Blast Resistant Steel Design [N10]

This session will provide an introduction to the new AISC Design Guide, Blast Resistent Steel Design. This guide discusses blast resistance and progressive collapse mitigation, and presents the basic theory on these topics through the use of design examples. The concepts explained in this guide, along with a background in structural dynamics, will assist the practicing structural engineer when interacting with blast consultants to produce effective designs.
