Design of Economic and Effective Non-Composite Steel Box-Section Members [B14]

The recently released 9^th Edition of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications includes a new methodology for the design of non-composite steel box-sections. Based on new research, the methodology provides a general, unified procedure applicable to a wide array of cross-sections, including slender and longitudinally stiffened plates. The updated provisions will lead to more economic and effective non-composite steel box-section members for bridge construction.
