Staged Construction Analysis - Simple to Advanced [R2]

Not all steel structures are the same, and neither are the analytical approaches required to understand their behavior. Sometimes a simple linear static (turn gravity on) approach to analysis will work fine to fully understand the structural response. Other times, the structure is such that an exact sequence of real-world construction steps must be mimicked in the analytical world model to understand deformations and member forces that are expected when the project is complete.

This session will outline instances when simple analysis measures are sufficient and when advanced analysis may be needed. We will also delve into guidance for performing the advanced analysis.
