The Wilshire Grand Center [CS3]

At 73 stories and 1,100 feet, the Wilshire Grand Center in downtown Los Angeles was completed in 2017, making it the tallest building in the United States west of the Mississippi. The building's lateral system was engineered to withstand high seismic lateral loads and resulted in some very unique structural features. Schuff Steel was the fabricator and erector for the project and will share some of these challenges, as well as ways they were overcome to complete this unique and iconic structure.
