What's New with the 2016 Code of Standard Practice [Z5]

This session will explore the changes to the now available 2016 AISC Code of Standard Practice. Significant changes to the architecturally exposed structural steel (AESS) requirements, and the generalization of the code language to include the use of models will be discussed. The session will also review changes related to connection design, stiffening of members, tolerances, intellectual property, allowances, protected zone marking, and field bolt requirements.
