Where Does Wind Engineering Fit Into the Design Environment? [E14]

This session will discuss where wind engineering fits into the design process from conceptual design all the way through construction and beyond. We will describe the use of codes and wind tunnel testing with guidance on when to use or not use each. We will examine recent developments in wind engineering in relation to changes to future design practice. Attendees will also learn about the application of wind engineering principles and monitoring to minimize risk during construction.
