Vibration Webinar Series Begins May 5

AISC is offering a three-part webinar series, “Vibration of Steel Framed Structural Systems Due to Human Activity,” which will be held on Thursdays starting May 5 through May 19. The presentations will cover a wide spectrum of topics related to vibration analysis, including an introduction to floor vibration analysis concepts, resonance and human tolerance criteria, as well as retrofit strategies for structures with unacceptable vibration levels.

Each webinar is 1.5-hours long and will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET:

Part 1, May 5: Basic Analysis of Structural Systems Due to Human Activity

Part 2, May 12: Walking Vibrations and Rhythmic Vibrations

Part 3, May 19: Sensitive Equipment, Monumental Stairs and Retrofitting

This series offers two options for registering: a three-session package (only one continuing education certificate issued) or individual webinars (unlimited number of continuing education certificates issued per connection).

Registrants will receive access to a PDF file of the presentation slides prior to each webinar, CEU/PDH certificates upon completion of the live webinar (1.5 PDHs per webinar) and complete instructions for accessing the live webinar.
