Get Involved! Volunteers Needed for 2019 Student Steel Bridge Competition Events

AISC is seeking volunteers for the Student Steel Bridge Competition's Regional Events and National Finals. The SSBC has been one of AISC's most educational and impactful programs for college students for more than 30 years. And you can be a part of it!  

The competition's 17 Regional Events will take place across the U.S. throughout March and April, culminating in the National Finals on May 31 and June 1. All SSBC events need volunteers for judging, event setup or general tasks (registration desk, lunch distribution and more).

If you are interested in volunteering at a 2019 SSBC Regional Event, click here to complete the SSBC volunteer form and to learn more. Regional events will be held through March and April at the following schools:

  • University of Tennessee, Knoxville (March 28-29)
  • Louisiana Tech University (March 29)
  • George Mason University (March 29-30)
  • California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (April 5-6)\
  • North Carolina State University (April 5-6)
  • University of Colorado at Boulder (April 5-6)
  • Saint Martin's University (April 12)
  • University of Oklahoma (April 12)
  • University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown (April 12)
  • University of Maine (April 12-13)
  • Valparaiso University (April 12-13)
  • The University of Akon (April 13)
  • University of Michigan (April 13)
  • Rochester Institute of Technology (April 19-20)
  • University of Texas at San Antonio (April 26-27)
  • New Jersey Institute of Technology (April 27)

The National Finals will be held at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill., on May 31 and June 1.
