The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) recently recognized Ron Klemencic, SE, PE, Hon. AIA, as a member of the NAE Class of 2020, for "innovation in the design of high-rise buildings worldwide and for research and design guidelines to advance structural engineering practices." Most recently, Klemencic championed the development of the SpeedCore system, a revolutionary concrete-filled composite steel plate shear wall core system, which has been implemented on the soon-to-be-open Rainier Square Tower in Seattle.
