L. Gale Lemerand Student Center

Structural steel enhances the sustainability of the L. Gale Lemerand Student Center at Daytona State College. The design team used the building's steel framing to support bronze solar screens that ventilate the façade in the hot Florida sun--this naturally reduces heat gain on the building and cooling system loads!
