Bolting and Welding Night School Begins September 20

Classes begin September 20 for AISC’s new Night School course “Fundamentals of Bolting and Welding.” The course comprises eight, 90-minute live webinar sessions, which all take place on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. ET. The first four sessions will focus on bolting, including properties and behaviors of fasteners, bolted steel connections, installation methods and industry-specific supplementary requirements. In the last four sessions on welding, topics will range from welded connection details to seismic design.

Session 1: September 20 - Bolting Pt. 1: Principles, Properties and Provisions
Session 2: September 27 - Bolting Pt. 2: How to Hold it all Together
Session 3: October 18 - Bolting Pt. 3: Torque, Turn, Twist and Test
Session 4: November 1 - Bolting Pt. 4: Beyond the Bolts
Session 5: November 8 - Welding Pt. 1: Fundamentals of Welded Connections
Session 6: November 15 - Welding Pt. 2: Welding Wisdom
Session 7: November 29 - Welding Pt. 3: Welded Connections for Seismic Service
Session 8: December 6 - Welding Pt. 4: Special Welding Applications and Field Fixes

Attendees can either register for the entire eight-session package (one attendee per connection) and earn up to 1.2 CEUs/12 PDHs upon passing a series of quizzes and a final exam, or they can register for individual webinars, with an unlimited number of attendees per connection, and receive 0.15 CEUs/1.5 PDHs per session.
