Architecture Educator Workshop

Integration of Architecture and Structural Steel

Do you teach a studio or classroom course for architecture students that incorporates topics in structural steel? The American Institute of Steel Construction is sponsoring a two-day interactive workshop in Chicago to discuss innovative pedagogies for integrated design, design-build studio using steel, teaching steel structures to architecture students, and embodied carbon. Network with academic leaders and develop a deeper knowledge of structural steel, sharing teaching and research resources while brainstorming new ones. There will be an opportunity for participants to present developed scholarship from the workshop at either AISC’s session at ACSA or NASCC (the annual Steel Conference).

Our workshop facilitators are experienced faculty who have been instrumental in developing steel-related educational resources and research available for all educators.
